Job Description
Field Foreman is responsible for managing of all construction projects. Field foreman will work with other managers in scheduling, planning, cost management, staff supervision, time management, quality management and safety management. Providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Working knowledge of aerial and underground construction principles and standard.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the day to day management of construction projects while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Design or review proposed designs of all construction projects ensuring appropriateness to required function and/or standards, and initiate revisions where appropriate to achieve desired results.
- Atend site walk outs with customers.
- Assist in estimating, project scheduling and staff scheduling.
- Communicate with other departments and service providers and vendors to handle any escalating issues
- Oversee construction equipment usage and maintenance to ensure that all equipment is in constant operating order and used safely.
- Ensure project documents are complete.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- 5-10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry with an emphasis on outside and inside plant construction.
- Proficient in ADSS fiber placement.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a field foreman capacity
- Ability to oversee various size and multiple projects
- Must have excellent written communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work in a 365/24/7 environment.
- Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.
- Capacity to handle pressure.
- Strong computer skills necessary, including excel, word, power point, Visio, Insight, any Utility or telecommunications database software
- Maintain current, valid driver’s license and good to excellent driving record
- Able to pass DOT and drug screening
